What We Collect

Public comparison tools can be used without an account. Optional account, subscription, and agent-portal features collect information you provide to use those features. When you use our site, we may collect:

• Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited)
• Account and profile details, subscription records, and information entered into client portals, when you use those features
• Checklist progress and notes, saved in browser storage; portal checklists may also save to our database
• If you allow location access, city lookup sends your coordinates to our server. The walkability address search sends coordinates or address queries to OpenStreetMap’s Nominatim service; the resulting location may also appear in the page URL.

How We Use Your Data

We process information to operate the tools, authenticate accounts, save requested information, handle subscriptions, monitor performance, and prevent abuse. Service providers process information needed to deliver these features.

Move Planner Chat

When you send a chat message, we send that message and the current structured plan to OpenAI to interpret your moving details. Do not include names, precise birth dates, financial account numbers or street addresses. You can use the form without sending information to OpenAI.

We do not save chat transcripts or household plans in our database. The current conversation stays in this page’s memory until you leave or reload it. OpenAI processes requests under its API data controls; we disable response storage, but this is not a promise of zero provider retention. Read OpenAI’s data controls.

To enforce usage limits across servers, private Supabase storage holds monthly request reservations and a daily keyed hash derived from your network IP address. Those records contain no message text or household details. Hosting and API providers may retain operational or abuse-monitoring logs under their own policies.

Cookies & Advertising

MoveNumbers includes Google AdSense code. Ad serving depends on Google’s approval and configuration. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

We may also use analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site. The site includes Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights. Account features use authentication cookies; checklists use browser storage.

Third-Party Services

Our site is hosted on Vercel. Optional account and portal features use Supabase for authentication and database storage, Stripe for subscription payments, and Resend for transactional email. Address lookup uses OpenStreetMap’s Nominatim service. Walkability features also send map locations to our server, Overpass map-data services, and OSRM routing services. Each provider processes information required for the feature you use.

Your Rights

You can use public tools without creating an account and decline browser location permission. You can remove locally saved checklist data through your browser’s site-data settings. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at our About page.
